International Women’s Day: from the perspective of Gypsy, Traveller & Roma women on the 8th March 2017 in Committee Room G from 2.00pm to 3.30pm

The event is hosted by Baroness Hodgson of Abinger CBE on behalf of the Traveller Movement and will provide a platform for Gypsy, Traveller & Roma women to share their experiences of issues including domestic violence, hate crime & discrimination and education.

Gypsy, Traveller & Roma women are amongst the most marginalised women in the UK & Europe, but their experiences are often ignored and rarely given public attention. We hope that by offering these women the opportunity to share their stories

on such an important day, their voices will be heard by a wider audience and shine a light on their experiences.

The event begins at 2pm and will finish at 3.30pm with networking and refreshments and is by invitation only
