Watch the launch of the Hate: “As regular as rain” report on the ‘psychological effects of hate crime in Gypsy, Traveller and Roma communities’.

In this video meeting, introduced by Baroness Whitaker, the authors of the report present and then discuss their research findings with members of the GTR communities, the Gypsy Roma Traveller Police Association (GRTPA) and Mick Conboy from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Hate crime against Gypsy, Traveller and Roma (GTR) communities is
described as almost a daily occurrence in the report, with one respondent describing it as being “as regular as rain”.

The research was commissioned by GATE Herts and funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).
